Children are incredibly vulnerable, with waterborne diseases standing as one of the leading causes of child mortality globally. Addressing the clean water crisis across the Ummah is a massive endeavor. Donating water serves as a powerful form of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), granting the donor ongoing blessings from Allah as long as the source provides water.
With technological advancements, we have shifted from traditional water wells to more sustainable solutions like boreholes. A borehole utilizes a solar or electric-powered system to extract clean water from deep within the earth. The water is pumped up to a reliable tap system. Boreholes offer significant advantages: they are highly sustainable, easy to maintain, and provide broader accessibility for communities.
What Does a Borehole Include?
Safe water is vital for public health, whether used for drinking, cooking, or agriculture. Better water and sanitation have been shown to drive economic growth and reduce poverty. Access to safe, reliable, and reachable water is a fundamental right for every individual.
What is Expected for a complete Borehole
A complete borehole system installation features:
- A high-efficiency solar or electric pump
- Solar panels (for solar-powered systems)
- Four durable water taps
- A large elevated water tank and sturdy stand
- A personalized plaque bearing your name (or dedicated to a loved one)
- A comprehensive information pack including location details and photos
- Video updates showcasing the completed borehole
- A certificate of appreciation

Borehole Maintenance Fund
“Any surplus funds left after we build your borehole will go into the ‘Borehole Maintenance Fund’. This ensures that any remaining funds will maintain all of the boreholes we have built and will build in the future.”
